KNIPSS Admission For UG 2025-26

Kamla Nehru Institute of Physical & Social Sciences admits students to their institute based on the merit of total marks in the eligible examination. For admission in a UG program, passing an intermediate or equivalent examination in 2016 or later. In most cases, passing an intermediate, or equivalent, examination in any branch is an acceptable parameter for most of its courses, but for some other courses like B. Sc. (Math), B. Sc. (Bio), one must have passed an intermediate or equivalent examination in Maths and Bio branches. For the L.L.B. 3-Year course, a candidate needs to have passed their graduation in any category. The marks percentage for the general category is 45%, OBC is 42%, and SC&ST Candidate is 40% with no age limit. 

• Minimum criteria for UG admission are passing an intermediate examination, generally 10+2 standard or equivalent.
• For B.Sc. For Maths and Bio, a candidate must have passed their intermediate examination with these subjects.
• For the L.L.B. 3-Year course, graduation in any category serves as a requirement for admission.

KNIPSS Admission 2025 For PG

Kamla Nehru Institute of Physical & Social Sciences offers a wide range of courses to its students under the Postgraduate program.

To get admission in a postgraduate course, in any subject offered, candidates should have passed their bachelor’s degree third-year examination with the same subject. For admission in postgraduate subjects like Microbiology or Environmental Sciences, the candidate should have studied Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Zoology, Bio-technology, Military Science, Microbiology, Botany, and Biochemistry for at least 2 Years from any branch of B.Sc. Biology. Students who wish to pursue a master’s degree must choose the same subject that they studied in the third year of their undergraduate course. If not, they may have to do an additional bridge course in that subject. However, B.Com students can still take admission in M.A. Economics.

• To get admission in the PG program, a candidate must have cleared their 3rd-year Bachelor’s examination with the same subject. 
• B.Com pass-out students can get admission to M.A. Economics.
• In Post Graduation subjects like Microbiology or Environmental Science, candidates should have studied Zoology, Bio-Technology, Military Science, etc., subjects from any branch of B.Sc. Biology for 2 years.

KNIPSS  Admission Process 2025-26

• The Total Marks obtained in the eligible examination will be the criterion for admission in Kamla Nehru Institute of Physical & Social Sciences. 
• A list of selected individuals for admission would be published on the official website’s Notice Board. 
• All selected candidates will be invited to get admission on a given date. They need to bring their documents with them.
• After document verification, students will be required to pay the admission fee at the fee counter of the institute in time, if not the admission would be cancelled, and the next candidate would be considered for admission.
• After everything is done, the student will have taken admission successfully.

Required Documents

• Original documents of all the examination passed documents, along with their photocopies, for verification.
• 3 passport-size coloured photographs.
• Original T.C. and C.C. from where the examination was passed.
• Caste Certificate (If Applicable) and Income Certificate with a 6-month validity, issued by a gazetted officer.
• Original Weightage Certificate for Weightage-based admission. All certificates and their photocopies will be verified.
