About SDE Kerala University

The University of Kerala was established in 1937 by the Maharaja of Travancore. Within the state of this University, 16th University and 10 colleges are going to be set up, which were affiliated with Madras University. 

The School of  Distance Education

In 1976, the School of Distance Education was established as a research and teaching unit of the university in Kerala for distance learning in the region. Mainly, this school was created with the following goals:

SDE Kerala University Admission For UG 2025

To complete an Undergraduate degree in any specialization like BBA, B.com, BCA, B.Sc, etc, at SDE Kerala University. First, you need to fill out the application form and pass the eligibility criteria. Also, candidates who are interested in these programs are asked to pay the total admission fee of INR 3000 to INR 55000. 

Eligibility Criteria for UG Courses 2025

• Candidates with a BA/BSc/B.Com or equivalent degree from any recognized university/institute are eligible to apply for MBA/PGDM programs. 
• Bachelor of Science Candidates who have completed 12th/equivalent with Mathematics as a subject from any recognized institute/board are eligible to apply. 
• BCA candidates who have completed 12th grade or an equivalent qualification with Mathematics included as one of the subjects from any recognized institution or board are eligible to apply. 
• Candidates who have completed 12th grade or its equivalent from any recognized institution/board are eligible to apply for the B.Com program, as long as those from a non-Commerce background have a minimum specified aggregate percentage. 
•  B.A. Candidates who have completed 12th grade or an equivalent from any accredited institute/board can apply. 
• Candidates for the BBA program who have completed 12th grade or an equivalent qualification from any recognized board or institute are eligible to apply.

SDE Kerala University Admission For PG 2025

Students can register for a 2-year postgraduate program in MBA/PGDM at SDE Kerala University. This program is offered in five specializations: MBA/PGDM, M.Sc, M.Com, M.A, and M.Lib.I.Sc. Entry into the program is exclusively based on the graduation degree obtained by students in their earlier academic credentials or accepted assessments. Individuals who gain admission must pay a total tuition fee ranging from INR 3780 to INR 82000 for the course. 

Eligibility Criteria for PG Courses

• M.Sc. Candidates who have completed a B.Sc. in Computer Science/Electronics/BCA from an accredited institute/university are qualified to apply. 
• M.Com applicants who have obtained a B.Com / BBA / BBM degree from any accredited institute or university are qualified to apply. 
• M.A. Candidates who have finished their B. A person from a recognized institute or university can apply. 
• B.Lib.I.Sc. Candidates who have graduated with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institute or university are eligible to apply. 
• M.Lib.I.Sc. Individuals who have obtained a B.L.I.Sc.A  degree or an equivalent qualification from any accredited institute or university qualifies you to apply.

SDE Kerala University Admission Process 2025

Kerala University of Distance Education will soon release the notification for the admission of UG and PG for the July session. The last tentative date to apply for admission is 30 July 2025*. INR 105 will be the admission fee for all the courses.
